12:42pm Deplaned at Great Falls International Airport.
12:53pm Picked up Jeep Wrangler from Alamo car rental desk.
1:30pm Got lunch and beer flights at Mighty Mo Brewing Company in Great Falls.

3:12pm Started driving to St. Mary Village.
4:52pm Filled the Jeep with gas in Browning.
5:40pm Checked in at St. Mary Village.
7:40pm Arrived at Many Glacier Hotel to meet friends for dinner.

9:14pm Dinner is served at Ptarmigan Dining Room.

10:50pm Got back to St. Mary Village.

Sunday 7/19
5:30am Woke up.
7:05am Got breakfast at Many Glacier Hotel.
8:30am Took boats across Swiftcurrent Lake and Lake Josephine.
9am Started hiking toward Grinnell Glacier.
12pm Got to Grinnell Glacier.

1:30pm Started hiking back from the glacier.
3:44pm Arrived back at boat dock.
4:30pm Bored of waiting for seats on a return boat, Cam and I decided to separate from the others and start walking back to Many Glacier Hotel from the Lake Josephine boat dock.
5:26pm Arrived back at Many Glacier Hotel.
5:42pm Our friends arrived back at Many Glacier Hotel by boat.
6:40pm Cam and I got back to St. Mary Village.
8:05pm Sat down for dinner at Snowgoose Grille.
8:30pm Dinner is served.

11pm Went to bed.

Monday 7/20
7:30am Woke up.
9:12am Arrived at Many Glacier Hotel to meet friends.
10:16am Started hiking Iceberg Lake Trail from hotel.
12:16pm Got to Ptarmigan Falls.
1:39pm Arrived at Iceberg Lake.

2:46pm Started back from Iceberg Lake.
3:57pm Got back to Ptarmigan Falls.
5:40pm Arrived back at Many Glacier Hotel.
6:24pm Sat down at Many Glacier Hotel patio with drinks.
7:58pm Dinner is served at Ptarmigan Dining Room.
9:00pm Cam and I left Many Glacier Hotel.
9:30pm Cam and I got back to St. Mary Village.

Tuesday 7/21
5:10am Woke up.
6:01am Got coffee and breakfast sandwich from Triple Divide Coffee Company at St. Mary Village.
6:06am Started driving to Logan Pass parking lot.
6:42am Parked at Logan Pass.
7:09am Started hiking to Hidden Lake Overlook.
7:55am Arrived at Hidden Lake Overlook.

8:02am Started back to the parking lot.
8:41am Got back to Logan Pass Visitor Center.
9:25am Left Logan Pass parking lot and started driving Going-to-the-Sun Road.
9:27am Stopped at Oberlin Bend.
9:40am Stopped at rest area (48.7265732, -113.7221841).

9:57am Stopped at overlook of McDonald Creek (48.7323842, -113.7435365).
10:04am Stopped at Bird Woman Falls.
10:25am Stopped at creek (48.7227767, -113.7679942).
10:48am Stopped to hike Johns Lake Loop.
11:31am Arrived at Johns Lake.
11:48am Got back to the car and continued Going-to-the-Sun Road.
12:05pm Parked at Lake McDonald Lodge.
12:17pm Sat down for lunch at Russell’s Fireside Dining Room.
12:57pm Lunch is served.
2pm Back in car.
3:46pm Arrived back at St. Mary Village.
4:04pm Left St. Mary Village for Prince of Wales Hotel.
4:42pm Crossed border into Canada.
5:06pm Parked at Prince of Wales Hotel.

5:37pm Checked in and settled into the room.
6:55pm Went down to lobby to see history speech.
7:03pm History speech begins.

7:41pm Sat down for dinner at the Windsor Lounge.
8:12pm Dinner is served.

8:56pm Went outside to watch sunset.

Wednesday 7/22
9am Woke up.
9:56am Sat down for breakfast at Trapper’s Mountain Grill.

10:09am Breakfast is served.

10:28am Paid for breakfast.
11:14am Started walking to Cameron Falls.
11:25am Got to Cameron Falls.

11:36am Checked out the Waterton Visitor Center.

11:55am Left the visitor center.
1:30pm Sat down for “royal” afternoon tea at Prince of Wales Hotel.
1:41pm Steeped first tea.

1:45pm First snacks arrive.
2:03pm Steeped second tea.
2:12pm Sandwiches and more snacks arrive.
2:30pm Steeped third tea.
2:51pm Steeped fourth tea.
3:06pm Finished afternoon tea.
3:15pm Started walking to Waterton townsite for boat tour.
3:36pm Got in line for boat tour over to the Montana side of Waterton Lake.
3:52pm Started boarding the boat.
4:04pm Boat took off.

4:54pm Boat arrived at Peace Pavilion and we got off to look around.

5:20pm Got seated back on boat.
5:29pm Boat took off from Peace Pavilion.
6:17pm Got off boat back at Waterton.
6:26pm Sat down for beer and appetizer at Thirsty Bear.

7:13pm Left Thirsty Bear.
8:16pm Ate Beavertail by the water.

8:27pm Sat down for dinner at Zum’s but left because we didn’t like it in there.
8:36pm Sat down for dinner at Pizza of Waterton.
9:08pm Dinner is served.
9:35pm Bought my parents some Heinz ketchup at a convenience store.
10:07pm Sat down outside Prince of Wales overlooking Waterton.
10:30pm Back in room at Prince of Wales.
10:42pm Explored the hallways.

10:55pm Back in room.

Thursday 7/23
7:40am Woke up.
9:02am Checked out of Prince of Wales.
9:15am Sat down for breakfast at Vimy’s.
9:56am Breakfast is finally served. It took so long they gave it to us for free.
10:04am Back in car, driving back to Many Glacier Hotel.
10:38am Crossed back into the U.S.
11:33am Parked at Many Glacier Hotel.
12:04pm Got to Swan Mountain Outfitters to check in for horseback ride.
12:45pm Got on horses.

3:01pm Arrived at hitching post and dismounted.
3:18pm Got back on the horses.
5:30pm Horses arrived back at Many Glacier Hotel.
5:49pm Checked in to room at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.

6:14pm Ordered dinner at Nell’s restaurant.
6:30pm Dinner is served.
6:40pm Left Nell’s and walked back to room.
7:38pm Woke up from a nap.
8:40pm Woke up again.
9:20pm Actually got up.
9:31pm Started walking to water.
9:40pm Skipped some rocks in the river.
10:15pm Went to the main lodge to use WiFi and plan next day.
10:35pm Back in the room.

Friday 7/24
7am Woke up.
7:37am Got back in the car and drove over to the main lodge.
7:47am Browsed the gift shop and ordered breakfast at Nell’s.
7:55am Breakfast sandwich is served.
8:28am Parked at Apikuni Falls trailhead.
9:05am Reached Apikuni Falls.

9:50am Arrived back at car.
10:45am Back at St. Mary Village for bathroom, gift shop, coffee, WiFi. Bought my friend a mug he regretted not buying.
11:29am Got gas at Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
1:15pm Arrived at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park.
1:56pm Left visitor center.
2:03pm Arrived at buffalo jump cliff.

2:30pm Back in the car.
3:15pm Returned rental jeep, checked in at Great Falls International Airport.
4:45pm Sat down for food at Rockies Kitchen + Bar.
4:54pm Food is served.
6:09pm Boarded airplane.
6:21pm Plane taxiing.
6:24pm Takeoff.
6:57pm Turbulence announced.
7:07pm Captain said 24 minutes until ground, with turbulence in 5 minutes.
7:32pm Landed; no turbulence.
7:43pm Deplaned at Salt Lake City.

9:29pm Sat down for dinner at Squatters Pub.
9:47pm Dinner is served.
11:40pm Boarded airplane.
