Here are photos of all the animals we saw during our recent trip to Glacier National Park. We saw moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, Columbian ground squirrels, potentially both a black bear and grizzly bear, a ptarmigan and its babies, horses and some deer.
7/19
08:59: Bull moose — while getting off the first of two boats that took us to the Grinnell Glacier Trail.

13:36: Bighorn sheep — just as we were heading back down from Grinnell Glacier.

12:28: Columbian ground squirrel skulking around where lots of people were taking a rest near a waterfall on the Iceberg Lake Trail.

16:25: Horses along Chief Mountain Highway on the way to Waterton Lakes. A couple of days later, we were doing a horseback ride, and our guide said she’d heard about some horses getting loose.
